I just recenntly got vista, and i checked the oficial compatability games list and battlefield 2 was on there.This is what happeneds: after i install it, i can play the game ONCE, after i quit and try to run it again, the screen turns black for a few secs then returns to the destop with no error message.Battlefield 2 problem!!
I have Vista and it works fine (the only game that works fine on vista for me). I remember going through that but it was because one of my computers had a Geforce 4 card and Battlefield 2 doesn't support that card. Also the game always needs to start in the resolution of 800 x 600. You could also try this, but I am not sure if it would work. Right-click on the game icon and then select Run as Administrator. Battlefield 2 problem!!
I recommend unistalling Vista and rolling back to Windows XP personally.
Yeah ur better with out vista Vista was meant to be played with DirectX10 games and bf2 is not one of them
