World In Conflict!

Hey all this message is for those playing the beta! I have a AMD 64 Athlon X2 Dual Core Processor3800+, with 4.00GB DDRII RAM, and a NVIDIA Geforce 8800 GTS 320MB, I've tried running the game on very high however my machine doesn't seem to handle it as well as I thought!! Is this because the developer has put really high settings on the game, the kind of settings that most machines won't be able to handle for another 1.5-2years? Or is there something extra my rig needs?

I've heard from many people - even those with very beefy systems - that the game simply doesn't perform well on hardly any computers. So you aren't the only one experiencing bad performance with everything turned up.It's a beta, so hopefully these performance troubles will be gone in the full product.World In Conflict!
Yeah I hope they do fix the problems, I was kind of disapointed that my machine wasn't running it that well!

Considering I just went and spent a whole lot on money on the latest gear! I'm really keen to play DX10 games so hopefully when they come out I'll be able to run them! Do you think my current rig will do the job?
I havn't played it yet but high end pc's cant max it?
I dont know what you guys are talking about? From most people I hear, it runs really well....I can max it out without a problem (though it still crashes once in a while)
my PC maxes the beta out...e6600, 768mb Geforce 8800GTX, 2GB 667mhz RAM, Vista Home Premium...You should be able to run the game maxed out though as well...
I can run it medium settings with no lag (1024X768 resolution).amd athlon 64 3200+ 2.0GHz, 2GB ram ddr 400, X1900GT 256MB
I can run it maxed but its really slow! When theres a heap of stuff onscreen itslows down massively!I'm wondering has this got more to do with my internet connection? I have ADSL @512kbps.
Can anyone help me get good performance out of the game? It just seems to run really crap like when I have it maxed!!RegardsGerard
If u have that many stuff in ur computer dont waste ur time playing World in Conflict wait for LOST PLANET OR CRYSIS.Even if world in conflict is a good game
