Hey, for a while I've been wanting to use anti-aliasing and HDR together in Oblivion, but since Oblivion no matter what says 'One or the other!', I had to ask here. Someone told me that I have to force one on in the GFX card drivers, and then turn the other on in Oblivion. Can someone explain how to do this?I'm running Vista Ultimate, if that matters.Thanks.Forcing AA and HDR on 8800GTS
To my knowledge, the only way to force it is with is a special ATI driver. I don't know of any way to do it with Nvidia 8-series cards.Forcing AA and HDR on 8800GTS
Really? A couple of people have told me it works on an 8800 card too.
it does work with the 8800 series. idk how , but its probably somewhere in the nvidia control panel. look around, theres a place where you can set stuff like AA for certain programs (or games)
Go to Nvidia Control Panel -> Manage 3d settings -> Program settings -> Elder scrolls 4 : Oblivion
Under Antialiasing mode, select ''Override any application setting''.Change the AA setting.
Enable HDR in Oblivion.
I tried it, and it didn't seem to work. It still looks like HRD without AA, even with it overriding the app settings. Any thoughts on what might be happening?
Bump.
