I like you =p, I'll reinstall it once I get my new computer I guess, but apparently there's no SURE way of fixing it, There are MANY MANY posts about this on the EA BF2142 forum, I'm hoping for a patch soon.EDIT: Oh ya, there's that Quake Wars Beta soon! (I'm not a subscriber, I don't like Fileplanet and they're gamespy...)
Don't buy any more EA games for a couple of years. Things will change you'll see.

And as I found out when I read the contents, we both lost bf2142 (in which I was top rank btw with all unlocks :(((((( ).After crashing many many times the game just decided to not start. At all. Whether I tried to start it off thru Program Files, through many kinds of modded shortcuts, or through the ''Play!'' option in my EA downloader (yes..sigh..I downloaded it. Don't do that y'all. Zero tech support from EA.)Things I did:-modded shortcuts, removoe\ving mods and then failing, and putting different ones on.-resinstalled the game several times-''fixed'' the game through option given on AutopPlay-''fixed'' it through ''Add/Remove Programs'' that you find on your PC's Control Panel.-Uninstalled and deleted the game. Then re-downloaded it and reinstalled it. And repeated all of the above. Several times.-Uninstalled and Deleted all files associated to EA Link - the thing you have to install to be able to play EA games and to download them if you want to. Then redownloaded it and reinstalled it. Then repeated everything above... several times....-Spent about 30 hours in total between above steps on the Internet trying - and failing - to find an answer to my problem. I think I almost did once - but it was all in chinese and untranslateable....-Yelled at my computer-Anger-Denial-Acceptance...that EA took my game behind the dumpster and put a couple on the back of its head.GG
