Company of Heroes, is it possible to

Stop your men automatically shooting the enemy? I may be a complete idiot here but i have read the manual and can't seem to find how to do it. CoH works with the line of sight thing, so you can sneak up on the enemy if you are behind trees etc. The problem is my men open fire way before i get close enough to throw a sticky bomb or grenade. Any one know how or if i can stop this? Company of Heroes, is it possible to

And by the way, i feel your frustration. It's almost as bad as a tank driving 2 feet away to another tank to shoot it, only to be blasted from the side.Company of Heroes, is it possible to
LOL, yeah. I guess as good a game as it is and as much as i love it, it isn't without its little annoyances. Thanks anyway.
I think each unit/squad has a halt or cease button. When you select the unit look down to the right where the orders are and there should be a halt type button. (near the 'attack ground' button) I'm not sure if they completely stop moving or wether they keep moving but stop shooting - I never use that option.

I think you are thinking of C%26C3 there :wink:.

I have not seen something like that in CoH.
I think the stealth units are the only ones that have the cease/open fire button like snipers and even the German stormtroopers.
