Just bought Fable. When NPCs are not looking directly at me the sound is so muffeled I can't hear. I've Goggled this problem but I can't gind anything. Help?Fable Dialog Sound

its not a problem, its very bad 3d sound they tried to make. just turn your camera you'll hear better.
It might be your speakers, i have Fable for the PC and the sound has always been good. Do your speakers work with other games?
Speakers work fine with other games. I agree that there is a bug in the 3D sound. Oh well, guess I'll just read the dialog.
Interesting, don't have any audio issue with Fable. Speech and sound is very nice. As mentioned it could be a bug.
I haven't played Fable but have had a similair 'problem' in other games. I never encountered it again after I replaced my on-board audio with a dedcated sound card. If you have on-board audio it might just not be able to deal with 3d audio effects all that well.. Other then that it could be a driver issue, you could try if a driver update for your audio device will solve it.
