I love when online/multiplayer games first come out... when everyone is new and everyone is a ''noob'' there are no elitists or people who have been playing the game for so long that their skills far surpass veterans and newcomers alike. Everything is fresh and everyone is just having fun. People aren't yelling in all caps at other players for making stupid mistakes as if games were a matter of life or death.Of course, maybe i feel this way because in reality I suck at gaming and thus only have a fighting chance when no one has really gotten *good*. Just my thoughts.... anyone else? when ';noobness'; is a wonderful thing
When a person admits to being new and is learning. Then I think it is cool.when ';noobness'; is a wonderful thing
I think n00b no longer means ''new person'' in gaming. It instead means ''idiot.''
You know, to be honest, I don't see anybody yelling at anybody else on multiplayer. Even in Counter strike, people just play. I started several multiplayers and not once has anybody actually vocalized their criticism (and trust me I have made some pretty bad mistakes in a few games when I started).
I think n00b no longer means ''new person'' in gaming. It instead means ''idiot.''
I agree. Nowadays, if you call someone a NooB, your basically saying, ''You Idiot!!!''.But it can still be used in a ''Newbie'' sense, like, ''Man, i can't believe im on this team with all these NooBs''

yeah, ''newb'' is a new person nowadays...trends come and go
Well, thats kinda true, but u have to play at some chilean servers (maybe all of them are ilegal, but anyway...).. u have played 2 sec and... BOOOM NOOB, i think that it depends of the age of the gamers, younger gamers (in my country) are more mean than older players (like myself... sometimes ^^') I dont care if some1 is learning to play... if he does it far away from me or in the other team (na, just joking) and the most important thing of all... we are only humans, we commit mistakes.aND YES... NOOB is now the meaning of idiot, i agree with cametall xDP.D. I'm a NooB In gamespot xD
When a person admits to being new and is learning. Then I think it is cool.
I agree, modesty is definately a virtue in online gaming imo.I remember being a noob is WoW. People gave me crap at first then I was like ''Sorry, Im a noob, I just installed it 10 minutes ago'' and then everyone was nice.
