Homeworld style games

I loved that series but now that it's pretty much dead with little hope of reviving, does anyone know of other games which are like it (and hopefully are good too). Space based RTS games are few and far between sadly.Homeworld style games
I had one called ORB (Offworld Resource Base). It was pretty cool but verrrrrry slow paced. There was also another one with ''..The Jupiter Incident'' in the title or something like that, never played it but it looked okay.If you havent played Homeworld 2 or Homeworld: Cataclysm then I suggest getting both, especially Cataclysm it has a story that will give you nightmares.Homeworld style games
Also, look foward to Sins of a Solar Empire. Made by some of the people that made Homeworld, and from what Ive read its got the logistics of a turn-based game with the combat of a real-time game, possibly like Total War in space. GONNA BE SUHWEET!
Sins of a Solar Empire (SoaSE?) sounds awesome.I have played Homeworld 1 and 2 a lot but never Cataclysm, I'll try that out also

Great game, as well as O.R.B. There was a recently released one called Genesis Rising that got some decent reviews, might be worth checking out. But yeah, the big one coming up is Sins.

Might even want to check the bargain bin.Its gameplay is similiar to homeworld, but the production aspects (i.e. research, buildings units, etc) is way different. If you like rooting for the underdogs, you'll love Cataclysm. And like I said, the plot....creepy. But very good!Oh, the game I was referring to is ''Nexus: The Jupiter Incident''. It got a very good review (8.3) on gamespot and it is a tactical RTS (no resource gathering). I think I might try to go get it myself.
This is a stretch, but you are looking for an MMO you could give EVE-online a shot

Sins of a Solar Empire looks pretty good... plus its got a kick-ass name.
It's more arcade, but there was aforum to the Freespace 2 project last week. A quality space game that's ahead of its time, in more ways than one.Nexus the Jupiter Incident has a great opening cinematic - up there with Dawn of War. Slow game but it's OK.8)
