Is Battlefield 2 still worth buying?

I was wondering if i should get BF2 becaues i like MP games and i heard its great. I played the demo like a year ago but im not sure if anyone still plays it or if there are alot of servers. Is it still really buggy? Should i just get 2142?Is Battlefield 2 still worth buying?
I've only played about 20 minutes of it on display at CompUSA when it first came out and it was fun. I'm pretty sure it's still one of the most populated team based multiplayer FPS on PC. Personally though, I'm looking into 2124 just because the graphical style appeals to me more and it sounds more balanced/I liked what I've heard about Titan mode and progressing within ranks. The two games are not all that different though it seems.Is Battlefield 2 still worth buying?
there are still more people playing BF2, then 2142...so yeah, its worth buying.
If your worried about how many people are still playing BF2 don't worry there are still alot of servers running, %26 alot of people playing. As for 2142 I haven't even played the demo, but the things I've heard about the game (BF2142) have been mixed, some like it, others hate it with a passion.

hey man i still play everyday and i have alot of friends who play everyday also. it is the most addicting game ever created!! You would be nuts not to get in on the reanking system that will keep you busy for litterally years. Trust me there is nothing better than this fps w/ complete cobat vehicle and squad control the ribbins badges and medals are also what keeps you playing for years. 1,000 servers at lest everyday
Yup, more people play it then 2142, it's the fourth most played game on xfire, thousands play it, I just bought it myself

2 is the most popular, and least broken (imo) Battlefield game. There are some problems in 2 (nade spamming) but I think it's better than 2142.

If you like modern warfare, go for Bf2. If you want futuristic stuff, go for BF2142. They both are pretty awesome games (played both).
