Gonna be gettin a laptop soon and i'll probably go boot up some old playstation games, and newer ones (sports etc.)just wanna know what (for a reasonable price) is a good quality gaming pad for the PC that you know has great compatibility and is easy to use. Preferrably one that resembles a playstation or xbox controller. Gonna be doing some emulating and the keyboard is killer.ThanksWhat is ';THE'; PC Gaming Pad?
I'd say it's definately the Xbox 360 pad, but you should check out those alternate drivers, because sometimes the analogue triggers don't want to cooperate properly. What is ';THE'; PC Gaming Pad?
From an ergonomic standpoint, the Xbox 360 pads win by a landslide.
Driver support isn't exactly the best, though. (To make matters worse, I use a wireless adapter, and the drivers aren't exactly ready for the wireless pads yet...)
so it would work even with old crappy programs? emulators etc.?you mean like an xbox 360 controller? or some knockoff? cuz i have one here, and i remember seeing some peripheral you could get to make it work on your computer. Is that it?
the wired version via USBand the wireless version via Xbox 360 Wireless HUB ($20)
Microsoft X360 or Logitech Rumble Pad 2Wireless > Wired
Microsoft X360 or Logitech Rumble Pad 2Wireless > Wired
There was a time when I would agree with the wireless statement, but not anymore. I HATE tracking down batteries or forgetting to put the thing on a charger or flipping out rechargables every day. As long as the controller/mouse/keyboard has a long enough wire and you have some cable management, wired is fine.
A wired XBox 360 controller will plug into your PC and work just fine. You may have to go to microsoft.com and find a driver for it or you may not I've had mixed results with different XP system in vista it just works.
